One of my grandmothers fell and broke her hip in several places so she's been in the hospital and I've been taking turns with my aunts staying with her overnight. She's doing well, though, so hopefully she'll be able to go home within a week!

She is an amazing lady. Still sharp as a tack, too! ^_^
One of my beloved family pets is also not doing well. Sammy is our 21 year old kitty and he was my very first cat. He was a stray we adopted in 1992 and the vet estimated him to be around a year old when we found him. He's always been our cranky little mainstay and my heart is breaking that he is so frail.

I'm sorry that this post is so depressing... I have some kawaii goodness on its way to me so I hope to return to happy, colorful posts soon.
Aww Caitlin! -hugs- I'm so sorry that all this happening at the same time. At least your Grandmother is doing well, I'm wishing her a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel, Filly has become very frail too. He can't walk very well and needs help getting up. But animals are always stronger than we give them credit for, they're not as fragile as humans are. Sammy is beautiful btw, much better looking than Filly, haha! Things will look up soon, they always do so keep your chin up!
Thank you so much, Richelle! [hugs] It is always so hard that animals cannot tell us in words what they feel~I just don't want Sammy to suffer :< He is the first long-lived pet I've had to make it to old age so it's a new experience for me. I'm staying up at the hospital with my Mammaw tonight and I wish I could hug Sammy.
